HOW INTERNET HAS CHANGED THE WAY WE INTERACT

HOW INTERNET HAS CHANGED THE WAY WE INTERACT

Today there are more than 600 million website worldwide, 500 million tweets are sent everyday and an estimated 2.4 billion people go online in a day.People are now able to access information and share things in a way that was not possible in previous generation. The rise of internet has changed the way we live and communicate.

'Berry Wellman' states "Online communication-email,instant messaging, chat rooms etc-does not replace more traditional offline forms of contact face-to-face and telephone.Instead,it adds on to them, increasing the overall volume of contact."

Internet has just increased the overall way of communication ,allowing us to stay in touch and make social plans .Internet is also helping people in making new relationship which we never knew.

For example:- the growth of online dating, where couples meet online.

The internet has also changed the way we communicate on a global scale.
Internet has allowed people to maintain relationship that are both local and long distance .
For those who believe that internet has turned into unsociable people that behind computer screen all day, which in only minority of the case. But majority see internet as a way to be more social and way of communicating with people from all over the world.

MASS MEDIA IN OUR LIFE

                    MASS MEDIA IN OUR LIFE

Mass Media are well known and important because they are utilized for different causes such as education, entertainment, awareness, video games, online games etc.

Mass Media plays a crucial role is creating awareness and also creating public viewpoint.
It is near to impossible to imagine our life without mass media. In some cases mass media is a good assistant .But on the other hand mass media has a bad influence from modern films on young people. For that parents must be very attentive and control  what their children watch.Just so they can avoid negative consequences in the future .

Mass Media can directly impact people dressing sense ,culture, etc.
Sometime it so happens that mass media provides baseless news.People who watch violent films or serials or videos through mass media be it television ,laptop, computer .They tend to commit crime easily and engage themselves in illegal works.

Sex and violence in media also lead media towards the sex crimes in the society. It traumatizes youngsters which result in abuse in the home, streets, towards children etc.To  fulfill their needs or to impress others they many times go violent to get money.Image result for the influence of mass media in our life essay

IMPACTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL KIDS

IMPACTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL KIDS.

Social Media is an entertainment technology. It is interesting no doubt in that but it is
attached to a marketing platform extracting bits and pieces of personal information ,also
their times and attention. Also their could be privacy settings but could their be any privacy in a digital world? Privacy is a lie.
Social Media allows them overdo their friend connection like they tend to overdo other things in life. Also, like video game addiction ,early use can set up further addiction patterns
and habits.
Social Media literally replaces 'HARD WORK' of dealing with things, which is therefore a must need skill to be doing great in life i.e to be successful. They have cognitive brain which is still being formed. While people can argue on some certain benefits of social media for teens, but at that age their brains are still developing for learning new things .So it becomes
easier for them to waste too much time in a digital world. It becomes impossible for them to balance it at once.
So , a solution could be face to face interaction with friends rather then on social media or maybe spend some family time rather then technology time in which parents would also be required to take part in helping them and spend time with them.

Social Media Has Changed The Way We Communicate.

It is obvious that the current digital world has changed the entire dynamics of communication across all age levels; the way we work , the way we live and the way we make and maintain friendships have so far taken a different twist.

Everyone remembers that the advent of email literally destroyed letter writing , and even the art of writing altogether. Fare-thee-well to writing letters! Email, SMS and social media communications tools have made irreversible impact on the way we write and communicate.

Today , many of us tend to be much more revealing in business and personal communications than ever before. Social media quickly breaks down personal barriers. Telling the world personal things , and then exploring them onto blogs , Facebook , Twitter , Instagram , you name it , has become socially acceptable in many circles.

A person will post details that they probably never would have called dozens of people over the phone or to their home to share. These little tidbits have opened up a whole new world of conversational opportunities when we see our friends in person. Before the advent of social media , jumping into a conversation about personal issues with a coworker may have felt awkward. Today , after seeing their pictures and posts online , however , it becomes much easier to broach the subject.

When we first heard of Twitter and its 140 character limit , most of us wondered how in the world we could convey something meaningful in 25-30 words. Now we have realised that Twitter pushes us to get to the essence of what we are trying to say. Who says you must have full sentences or paragraphs of text to make an impact or to drive people to action.

The need for fewer sentences has pushed for many short forms that we find ourselves using in our daily communication : BTW -By the way , IDK - I don't know , LMK - Let me know , LOL - Laughing out loud , OMG - Oh my God are just but a few acronyms we have found ourselves typing from our varied gadgets. These demonstrate how social media speeds things up by lessening the need to write longer phrases and reduce space. People who use these via SMS or social networks are not necessarily spelling things incorrectly . They are effectively speaking a new language entirely.

Emoticons , representing of a facial expression such as smile of frown (😅😍😎😈😙) , formed by various combinations of keyboard characters and used to convey what the user is feeling or to express the intended tone without actually having to write it has become acceptable. You could argue that this is a  lazy form of writing , but social media  isn't a process of creative writing , at least not in the traditional sense , it is a fast and convenient way of interacting with an audience. A whole host of words originating from social media and the wider Internet have become so commonplace that they have now slipped into popular usage , and we do not even realise it.

Their is also a big impact of social communications in the realm of public speaking. As an attendee at conferences I love tweeting quotes I hear from speakers , to share their wisdoms with my followers. But as a speaker myself , I am overwhelmed by being sent into tailspins trying to adjust to speaking to an audience whose faces are obstructed by their laptops or who are so busy on their phones that the speaker can only see the tops of their heads , instead of their eyes and face.

There is no single right or wrong way to assimilate all these into our daily lives and work - it all depends upon our own time , setting , colleagues, and even the image you want to project. For better or for worse , we are all in a new world of communications and most of us will have to learn that new  language whether we want it or not!
